GREENVILLE, S.C. — WKU women's golf teed off their second day of the weekend this morning for the second round of the Lady Paladin Invitational. The Lady Toppers still stand second overall heading into the final round.
Junior Catie Craig is in a tie for second after two rounds. Craig kept her momentum and continued to lead the Lady Tops this morning, shooting a 1-under 71 on the day, including a three birdie round two. Craig was either even or one under on every single hole on the day.
Sophomore Averi Cline is in the top half of the board as well. After a 2-over 74 second round, Cline is currently tied for 11th heading into Sunday.
Another Lady Topper in the top 25 is Sarah Arnold. Arnold had a very strong second round, shooting up the board nine spots after a 1-over 74 showing in this round. Arnold is in a four way tie for 23rd.
Sydney Hackett and Addie Westbrook are currently in a tie for 35th on the board. Hackett had a very strong second round, climbing up the board 10 spots after shooting 2-over 74. Both Lady Tops hold a total score of 149 heading into tomorrow morning.
Competing as an individual, Rachel Rich is currently in a tie for 65th. Rich had two birdies on the day and scored an 8-over 80 on the day
As a team, the Lady Tops shot 292 on the day. Last year's champion, Furman is two strokes ahead of the Lady Tops, scoring 290 in this round.
The Lady Tops look to close the gap even more on Furman tomorrow morning and win their second straight tournament of the fall.
The field will tee off the final round with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
