WKU Notes
- Sunday's match will conclude a six-game homestand for the Lady Toppers.
- Erwin had an impressive opening week with two goals and an assist. She is WKU's top points earner with five total on the season. Anna Isger and Kayla Meyer are second on the team with three points each. They each have a goal and an assist.
- Eight different Lady Toppers have scored a goal through four matches. In addition to Erwin, Isger and Meyer, Ambere Barnett, Alaina Nugier, Lily Rummo, Amanda Simpson, and Emily Speidel have each scored a goal.
- Maddie Davis has been WKU's starting goalkeeper through the first four matches. She has two shut outs on the season and has combined for 19 saves for the year.
- WKU has 17 returners back from the 2022 season to go along with 12 newcomers that include four transfers and eight true freshmen.
Series Notes
- Sunday's match will be the ninth meeting between WKU and Belmont all-time.
- The Lady Toppers own a 6-0-2 record against the Bruins in the series.
- The two teams squared off in Bowling Green last season in a 0-0 draw. The squads also played during the preseason in an exhibition in Nashville. WKU won that match, 1-0.
Belmont Notes
- The Bruins defeated North Alabama 1-0 to kick off the regular season, but have last three of their last four matches. The losses have come against Middle Tennessee (3-1), Vanderbilt (2-0) and Cleveland State (2-1). Belmont tied with Eastern Kentucky, 1-1.
- Belmont has had four different players score a goal this season, but none have scored more than one in 2023.
- Sarah Doyle has started all five games in goal for Belmont. She has a 1.60 goals against average on the season.
