BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU Soccer and North Alabama ended in 0-0 deadlock on Friday night at the WKU Soccer Complex. The tie moves WKU's record to 1-1-3 on the season and North Alabama to 1-2-2.
WKU outshot the Lions 12-8 in the match, but shots on goal were tied at six. Ambere Barnett, Rylee Finol, Brooke Sleeva and Rachel Dewey each had two shots in the match.
Goalkeeper Maddie Davis notched six saves in the game, bringing her season total to 19. It is her second shut out of the year. Davis' best save came in the 63rd minute when North Alabama got off a high shot in traffic, but Davis was able to leap and make the save.
The Lady Toppers will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 1 p.m. against Belmont. The match will conclude a six-game homestand that started the season for WKU.
