WKU Notes
- On Saturday, WKU earned a 2-0 win in the first exhibition of the season at Chattanooga. Katie Erwin scored first on a penalty kick in the 57th minute and then Kayla Meyer notched the second goal in the 71st minute. Goalkeeper Maddie Davis played all 90 minutes in goal for the Lady Toppers, making six saves on the day.
- WKU has 17 returners back from the 2022 season to go along with 12 newcomers that include four transfers and eight true freshmen.
- Kayla Meyer, the leading goal scorer from 2022 with four goals, is back as a junior. Katie Erwin will be back for a fifth season after leading the team in assists last season with four.
- The Lady Toppers will open the regular season with a six-match homestand starting on Aug. 17 against Tennessee Tech at 7 p.m.

- WKU and Belmont will meet again in the regular season on Sept. 3 in Bowling Green.
Belmont Notes
- The Bruins went 5-6-6 last season, including a 3-4-3 mark in conference play.
- Belmont returns leading goal scorers, Leah Firsdon, Maci Pekmezian and Anna Sweeney, who scored three goals last season.
- Starting goalkeeper Sarah Doyle also returns for the Bruins. She posted a 0.77 goals against average for the 2022 season.
