BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – No. 22 WKU Volleyball will open their home slate as the Belmont Bruins travel to The Hill Tuesday, August 29 at 6 P.M. The Hilltoppers have opened the season with a 2-1 record following the first upset of the NCAA Volleyball season with a, 3-1, defeat of then No. 12 Marquette at the Flyer Invitational. WKU is perfect all-time against Belmont, last meeting them in 2019 in Nashville, ending with a 3-0 sweep.
The match will be available for streaming on ESPN+ with Scott Thompson on the call and former All-American Jessica Lucas as a color analyst.
Â
As is the case for every Hilltopper match this season, all the action will also be available on the radio with Reily Chestnut on the call on the Varsity Network Radio.
Â
The Tops bumped up to No. 22 in this week's AVCA Coaches Poll. They traveled to Dayton, Ohio for the Flyer Invitational hosted by the University of Dayton. After the opening 3-1 victory, over Marquette, the Hilltoppers battled the host Friday evening, succumbing 0-3. WKU bounced back, earning its first sweep of the year over the MVC's Drake.
Â
Ending 2022 8-23 last season, the Bruins finished 11th in the Missouri Valley -- earning big conference wins over Evansville, Murray State, and Indiana State.
