BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Golf has had an eventful and successful summer with three golfers qualifying for their respective U.S. Amateurs.
Lady Topper Golf had its first two ever qualifiers for the U.S. Women's Amateur in rising fifth-year Sarah Arnold and rising junior Catie Craig.
Arnold qualified for the event after shooting 1-over 72 at Indian Hill Club in Winnetka, Ill., on June 26. Craig qualified out of the Country Club of Salisbury in Salisbury, N.C. with a 4-under 67 on July 6.
The 123rd U.S. Women's Amateur is at Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles from August 7-13.
Hilltopper golfer Hayden Warren qualified for the 123rd U.S. Amateur after firing an 8-under 136 at the University Club of Kentucky's Big Blue Course on July 21. He is believed to be the first Hilltopper golfer to outright qualify for the esteemed event since Will Beard in 2012.
