About the Lady Toppers
- WKU clinched the No. 2 seed in the Conference USA Championship last week with wins against UTEP and North Texas. The Lady Toppers come into the tournament on a three-game winning streak.
- So far this season, WKU has had 10 different leading scorers. That includes 10 different leaders during the 20 games of C-USA play. Hope Sivori, Mya Meredith and Acacia Hayes have led the team the most, topping the scoring column in five games.
- Acacia Hayes is WKU's leading scorer, putting up 11.0 points per game. The freshman is the Lady Toppers' leading shot maker (minimum of 100 attempts), making 48.5 percent of her shots from the field.
- Jaylin Foster is the team's second leading scorer with her 9.2 points per game average and she's the team's leading rebounder (5.6 rebounds per game) and steals leader (60 total). Foster's 2.1 steals per game are the fourth highest in C-USA.
- Alexis Mead is leading the team in assists earned with 93 on the season. The sophomore's 81.1 percent from the free throw line is the third best mark in C-USA. Her 1.69 assist-turnover ratio is fourth in the league.
- WKU has made 256 threes this season, which is the most in a season by a WKU team all-time. The 2022-23 squad broke the previous record of 242 set by the 2016-17 team against UTEP on Thursday.
- The team is averaging 12.0 steals per game which leads C-USA and is sixth in the nation.
- WKU is averaging 8.8 made 3-pointers per game, which ranks first in the league and 14th in the country.
- WKU is forcing teams into 20.69 turnovers per game which is the most in the league and the 11th in the country. The Lady Toppers' 5.14 turnover margin compared to their opponents is the second highest in C-USA and 22nd nationally.
- The WKU bench has been crucial this season. The reserves are scoring 29.7 points per game which includes a 66-point performance at Ball State.
Series History
- Saturday's game will be the 30th game all-time between WKU and UAB and the third this season. The Lady Toppers lead the series, 21-8 and won both previous games against the Blazers this season.
- WKU is 1-1 against UAB all-time on a neutral court, including last season's 74-62 loss in Frisco in the 2022 C-USA Championship.

- The No. 10 Blazers pulled off an upset against No. 7 North Texas in the first round of the C-USA Championship on Wednesday afternoon.
- Coming into the tournament, UAB has been led in scoring by freshman Denim DeShields who is averaging 12.8 points per game.
- Margaret Whitley is putting up 11.1 points per game.
- Maria Roters leads the team on the boards, pulling down 5.2 rebounds per game.
