GULF SHORES, Ala. – In anticipation of inclement weather, WKU Men's Golf completed two rounds at the Craft Farms Intercollegiate on Sunday.
There were 11 of the 14 teams in the field that finished out the second round. It resulted in WKU tied for seventh on the team leaderboard with Georgia State, Oral Roberts and Rice all directly ahead of the Tops without having finished 36 holes.
Redshirt sophomore Nic Hofman paced WKU at 1-over 145 on the day at the par-72, 7,127-yard Craft Farms Cotton Creek Golf Course. He shot 1-over 73 followed by an even-par 72 and is tied for ninth overall.
In the first round, WKU counted Hofman's score along with fifth-year senior Landon Carner who also turned in a 1-over 73. Senior Luke Fuller added a 3-over 75 and junior Connery Meyer logged a 4-over 76.
The Hilltoppers counted Hofman's even-par 72 and then three 75's in the latter round of the day. Carner, Fuller and Grindstaff all contributed to the team's 297.
WKU is sitting at 18-over 594 through 36 holes, seven shots back from Oral Roberts in an unofficial fifth-place.
