BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Brent Chumbley has announced Track & Field's 2023-24 competition schedule.
The team kicks off the Indoor slate with a trip to Vanderbilt, Jan. 12-13. The Hilltoppers will stay in the Bluegrass State for three meets in The Derby City. Bellarmine will host the Bellarmine Open Jan. 19, Louisville is slated to host the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational Jan. 26-27, wrapping it up with the PNC Bellarmine Classic Feb. 2. The team will then travel to Lynchburg, Va. for the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational Feb. 9-10.Â
The 2024 indoor season culminates with the CUSA Championships hosted by Liberty Feb. 23-24.
To kick off the outdoor season, WKU will travel to Atlanta, Ga. for the Yellow Jacket Invite on March 15-16. After a week break, the Hilltoppers will host the annual Hilltopper Relays at the Charles M. Ruter Track & Field Complex March 29-30.
WKU will then compete in four meets hosted by Power Five schools highlighted by meets at Louisville and Kentucky. The Hilltoppers will visit Ole Miss for the Joe Walker Invitational (April 5-6), Louisville (April 12-13), Kentucky (April 19-20) and Vanderbilt for the Music City Challenge (April 26-27).
The 2024 outdoor season wraps up with the CUSA Championships hosted by UTEP (May 10-12). NCAA Regionals will be held at Kentucky May 22-25.Â
