BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - No. 25 WKU Volleyball continues its 2022 C-USA schedule as FIU and Charlotte The Hill on Friday and Sunday. WKU is off to a 14-2 start to the season and has swept its last two matches. The Tops are 40-8 all-time against the Panthers, including a 18-match win streak starting in 2010. Up against the 49ers, WKU holds the series 18-3 and hasn't lost to Charlotte since 1986.
Both weekend matches will be streamed for free on Facebook Live via the Hilltopper Sports Satellite Network (HSSN) Facebook page with Brad Klein on the call.
As is the case for every Hilltopper match this season, all the action will also be available on the radio with Brad Klein on the play-by-play call. Friday night and Sunday afternoon's contests with be on ESPN Radio 102.7.
WKU Volleyball's 46-match conference winning streak is the longest of the sort in NCAA Division I. Only Louisville (31), Dayton (31), and BYU (29) are the only other programs with at least a 20-match conference winning streak.
The Tops have claimed the No. 25Â spot in this week's AVCA rankings. On the road over the weekend, WKU swept both UAB and Middle Tennessee, notching a team .382 hitting clip over Friday and Saturday. Overall the Hilltoppers own a .309 offensive average, which is fourth in the nation.
FIU is off to a 3-12 start to the 2022 campaign, landing at the bottom of the conference standings into the season with a new coaching staff. In the 2021 season the Hilltoppers and Panthers squared off in back-to-back matches in Miami, as WKU earned two sweeps.
The 49ers are just above FIU in standings, holding a 6-8 record and 0-2 in conference after the first weekend of action. Last meeting on the road in Charlotte, the Hilltoppers took both matches in the annual match-up, both 3-1 wins.

Fans can park in Parking Structure 2 (located between the football stadium and E.A. Diddle Arena) and enter through the Gate 2 entrance.Â

Flexible season ticket packages are on sale now and include 14 vouchers that fans can use at any regular-season home match in whatever fashion they choose. Fans can opt for the traditional use of one ticket for all 14 home matches or bring a group to a few matches. Purchasing single match tickets in advance online are $4 for adults, $3 for youth, while at the door on game day, adults are $6 and youth are $3.
TOP STORYLINES
- These will be the 49th and 22nd all-time meeting between WKU and FIU and WKU and Charlotte. WKU leads the FIU series, 40-8, while topping the 49ers 18-3 all-time.
- The Tops have won 46Â straight regular season Conference USA matches with their last loss dating back to October of 2018.
- WKU has held teams to an average of just .169Â hitting clip. FIU is averaging .171 over the net this season, while Charlotte has posted a .252 hitting clip.Â
- WKU has been predicted to win the conference title in the Conference USA Preseason Poll voted by the league's coaches. Paige Briggs, Katie Isenbarger, and Lauren Matthews were all selected to the Preseason All-Conference Team. Matthews was tabbed Preseason Player of the Year. After meeting in last year's tournament championship, Rice was predicted to finish second.
- Paige Briggs leads the team in kills this season with 217. Lauren Matthews follows suit with 196, Matthews is currently fourth in all-time kills by a Hilltopper with 1,613.
- Friday and Sunday's matches will be the 8th and 9th home matches of the season for the Tops, in which they are 5-2.
- WKU Volleyball is more accessible than ever with radio broadcasts for every match. The Tops are 1 of just 10 Division I Volleyball programs that currently have live radio for home and away matches.
