BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Cross Country is set to start its season on Friday, Sept. 2 at the Foothills Invitational in Jacksonville, Ala.
The meet will be hosted by Jacksonville State and held at the Choccolocco Park Sports Complex.
The women's squad will open the meet with a 4K beginning at 6:00 p.m. CT, followed by the men's 5K at 6:45 p.m. CT.
WKU will travel 18 total student-athletes for the meet, with both the men's and women's squad bringing 9 runners apiece.
The Hilltoppers tagged on eight new freshmen to the men's program, while the women saw five newcomers to the squad.
The meet is free to attend with free parking included.
Following their season opener, the Hilltoppers will be back in Alabama Friday, Sept. 16 for the North Alabama Showcase.
