TEXARKANA, Texas – WKU Men's Golf redshirt junior Thomas Hogan finished his second round under par as the team ended day two of the Conference USA Championships.
Hogan fired a 1-under 71, logging four birdies across his round at the par-72, 6,969-yard Texarkana Country Club. He is tied for 27th along with sophomore Connery Meyer.
Meyer improved his score by two shots from rounds one to two to move up the leaderboard. He carded an even-par 72 on Tuesday and is two shots back from a top-20 finish, along with Hogan.
Fifth-year senior Caleb O'Toole had the next-best round for the Hilltoppers at 4-over 76 on the day. He is alone at 46th on the individual leaderboard.
WKU's final score of the day was a 6-over 78 as both junior Luke Fuller and freshman Riley Grindstaff turned in that number. Fuller is tied for 43rd while Grindstaff is at t-60th.
As a team, WKU ended the day at 9-over 297 and is in 11th place overall. The Hilltoppers will tee off for the final round of the championship beginning at 8:50 a.m. CT on Wednesday morning on No. 10.
