DALLAS – WKU Women's Golf freshman Catie Craig was named a Conference USA First Team All-Academic member, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Craig is athletically a freshman but stands with sophomore level hours. She was named to the WKU President's List in the fall and logged a top-25 finish at the Lady Paladin Invitational in the same semester.
The Sautee Nacoochee, Ga., native has competed in seven of the Lady Toppers' nine events, starting in the lineup in three of those.
Craig holds a 4.00 GPA as an agriculture major and has a season stroke average this year of 77.1 shots.
On top of the t-22nd finish at the Lady Paladin Invitational, she also finished 28th at Georgia's Lady Bulldog Individual Invitational in February and tied for 34th at WKU's own Spring Break Shootout.
Craig joins Megan Clarke (2021), Mary Joiner (2018) and Ellinor Haag (2015, 2016) in the line of Lady Toppers to be named to the C-USA All-Academic teams.
