BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU Tennis continues the 2022 season this Saturday, April 1 with a doubleheader on the road at Dayton.
Both matches will be played at Dayton in Ohio and will begin at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. ET.
Last weekend, the Lady Toppers traveled to Indianapolis to take on the Butler Bulldogs and the Illinois-Chicago Flames.
WKU dropped Friday's match against Butler, 4-3 after winning the doubles point. The Tops also fell on Saturday to the Flames, losing 4-2. Last weekend's matches brought them to 13-8 on the year.
The Lady Toppers are 2-0 all-time against Dayton, playing for the first time in 2019. WKU claimed the win 5-2 at Dayton. The two sides did not meet in the 2020 season that was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, they faced off again at Dayton, ending in another victory for the Lady Toppers, taking the dual match, 6-1.
Dayton comes into this matchup with a 9-8 overall record. They are coming off a 5-2 victory against Duquesne on the road in Pittsburgh. Last season, the Flyers finished with a record of 5-14, losing to Duquesne in the first round of the Atlantic 10 tournament, 4-0.
