JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – WKU Women's Golf moved five spots up the leaderboard from the first to second round at the UNF Collegiate on Monday afternoon. The Lady Toppers sit in sixth after shooting 15-over 303 followed by a 2-over 290, which was the best 18 holes by any team in the second round.
The Lady Toppers are only one shot back from No. 49 North Texas and No. 63 Sam Houston in third.
Junior Sarah Arnold currently leads WKU as a top 15 individual. She shot an opening 3-over 75 and followed it up with a 1-under 71. She's a single stroke back from the top 10 and three shots out of the top five.
Three Lady Tops are tied for 29th. Olivia Reed, Kenlie Barrett and Faith Martin are all tied at 6-over 150. Barrett posted a 5-over 77 with a 1-over 73 while Reed improved by six shots from 6-over 78 to even-par 72.
Freshman Faith Martin finished with a 4-over 76 and 2-over 74. Sophomore Rachel Rich's first-round score of 3-over 75 counted towards the team score. She's tied for 65th while individual Catie Craig is tied for 88th.
WKU will play the third and final round on Tuesday morning.
