About the Lady Toppers
- The Lady Toppers have won two straight games with victories against Little Rock and Indiana State. At Indiana State, the Lady Toppers came back from an 8-point deficit in the third quarter, WKU outscored the Sycamores 22-7 in the final 12:17 to claim a 58-51 win. Hope Sivori led the team in scoring with 22 points, just one point shy of her career high. Odeth Betancourt pulled down 10 rebounds.
- Jaylin Foster is WKU's leading scorer (11.0 points per game), rebounder (6.6 rebounds per game), assist earner (15 total) and steals leader (17 total).
- The team is averaging 12.1 steals per game which is the most in C-USA and 15th in the nation. WKU is forcing teams into 21.75 turnovers per game which is also the most in the league and the 24th in the country. The team is also pulling down 13.8 offensive rebounds per game which is the third most in the conference.
- The WKU bench has been crucial this season. The reserves are scoring 33.4 points per game which includes a 66 point performance at Ball State.
- Greg Collins is in his fifth season as head coach at WKU. An emphasis Collins has put on his teams is 3-point shooting. In 2021-22, the Lady Toppers made 225 threes on the season which is the second most by a WKU team in program history. In fact, four of the top five marks in the record book belong to a team during Collins' tenure at WKU including his days as an assistant coach and associate head coach. The Lady Toppers also tied the school record for most 3-pointers made in a game twice last season, connecting on 14 threes against North Carolina A&T and Middle Tennessee.
