About the Lady Toppers
- The Lady Toppers are coming off of a historic defensive performance, holding Little Rock to just 25 points on Sunday, the fewest points allowed by a WKU team since Feb. 6, 1976. WKU earned a 48-25 win against the Trojans, a team that was coming off a 42-38 win against Texas A&M. Teresa Faustino was the leading scorer with 11 points. Jaylin Foster and Josie Gilvin led on the boards with six rebounds each.
- Foster is WKU's leading scorer (12.6 points per game), rebounder (7.4 rebounds per game), assist earner (14 total) and steals leader (16 total). Her 7.4 rebounds per game are the fifth most in Conference USA.

- Greg Collins is in his fifth season as head coach at WKU. An emphasis Collins has put on his teams is 3-point shooting. In 2021-22, the Lady Toppers made 225 threes on the season which is the second most by a WKU team in program history. In fact, four of the top five marks in the record book belong to a team during Collins' tenure at WKU including his days as an assistant coach and associate head coach. The Lady Toppers also tied the school record for most 3-pointers made in a game twice last season, connecting on 14 threes against North Carolina A&T and Middle Tennessee.
- Last season, WKU leaned heavily on a core of freshmen. Those rookies scored 52.3 percent of the team's points for the year and pulled down 45.6 percent of the squad's rebounds. Mya Meredith earned Conference USA Freshman of the Year honors at the end of the season, despite missing the final eight games of the season due to a knee injury. Alexis Mead and Meredith were named to the C-USA All-Freshmen Team as well.
