BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Brent Chumbley has announced the Track & Field team's 2022-23 competition schedule.
The Hilltoppers will ring in the new year by kicking off their indoor slate at the Commodore Challenge in Nashville on Jan. 13-14. The remainder of the indoor schedule will take place in the state of Kentucky with the Bellarmine Open on Jan. 20, the Louisville PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on Jan. 27-28, and the Bellarmine Classic on Feb. 3.
The indoor season culminates at the Conference USA Championships, scheduled for Feb. 18-19 in Birmingham, Alabama.
After a month off, WKU picks up competition again when it kicks off the outdoor schedule in scenic Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. The Tops will then return for their lone home meet of the year. The Hilltopper Relays will take place at the Charles M. Ruter Track & Field Complex on March 31-April 1.
WKU closes its regular-season slate with three-straight meets posted by Power Five Schools. The Hilltoppers will visit Ole Miss for the Joe Walker Invitational on April 7-8, Indiana for the Indiana Invitational on April 21-22 and Vanderbilt for the Music City Challenge on April 28-29.
The C-USA Outdoor Championships will take place in Denton, Texas this season, and will run May 11-14.
