The Tops have claimed the No. 23 spot in this week's AVCA rankings. Staying at home inside Diddle Arena, WKU gained their sixth and seventh road wins on Friday and Sunday, including notching 17 service aces -- a new team season-high against UTEP. Overall the Hilltoppers own a .312 offensive average, which is fourth in the nation.
Standing at a 8-11Â campaign so far in the season, Charlotte holds a 2-5 C-USA record, with victories appearing against UTSA and FIU this season. Last seeing each other in the series earlier in the month, WKU swept the 49ers inside Diddle Arena.
Holding onto a 2-4 conference slate (13-7 overall), Middle Tennessee is bouncing back from a five-set loss to FIU in Miami on Sunday. Finding conference wins against Florida Atlantic in Boca and FIU in the early series in Murfreesboro, the Hilltoppers opened their conference slate on the road at Middle Tennessee, sweeping the Blue Raiders in three in 2022.
