- WKU enters the series on two-game winning streak after sweeping Charlotte last weekend in Bowling Green. The 49ers entered the series unbeaten in Conference USA, having not lost since Dec. 6
- Two Lady Toppers earned hardware for their play against the 49ers. Raneem Elgedawy was named C-USA Co-Player of the Week and Hope Sivori was tabbed as C-USA Freshman of the Week. Elgedawy put up a pair of 20-point performances against Charlotte, including double-doubles in both games. Sivori averaged 15.5 points and 5.0 assists per game versus the 49ers
- The series against FAU continues a seven-game homestand for the Lady Toppers which is the longest for WKU since the 1988-89 season when the Lady Toppers hosted 10-straight games in Bowling Green due to hosting the Sun Belt Tournament and the first round of the NCAA Tournament
- Elgedawy has strung together five straight 20-point games which is the longest streak since Tashia Brown did it in the 2017-18 season
- In her six games back with the Lady Toppers, Elgedawy is averaging 21.5 points per game along with 11.2 rebounds per game which leads the team
- Fatou Pouye is the top scorer among Lady Toppers who have played the entire season. She's averaging 11.2 points per game. Sivori and Ally Collett are each scoring 9.6 points per game
- Meral Abdelgawad is the team's second leading rebounder, pulling down 7.8 rebounds per game. Sivori leads in assists, dishing out 4.0 assists per game

- The two teams squared off twice last season. The Lady Toppers notched a 68-59 win against the Owls on Jan. 30, 2020 in Bowling Green and then a 69-56 win in Boca Raton. Raneem Elgedawy was the leading scorer in both of those games. In the first game she scored 28 points and pulled down 18 rebounds. In the second game she had 20 points and 14 rebounds

- The Owls' lone win in C-USA was a 73-69 victory against FIU on Jan. 15
- Iggy Allen is the leading scorer for FAU, averaging 20.4 points per game, 11.0 rebounds and 2.7 steals. She is the third leading scorer in the league and the second leading rebounder
- Rita Pleskevich (10.7 points/game) and Janeta Rozentale (10.3 points/game) round out the Owls in double figures in scoring. Rozentale is the team's second leading rebounder behind Allen, pulling down 8.7 boards per game
