WKU Notes
- WKU will take the court against FIU this weekend. The Lady Toppers missed last week because of winter weather in Denton, preventing North Texas from making the trip to Bowling Green
- The Lady Toppers' last time out was at Rice on Feb. 12 and 13. WKU had Rice on the ropes in both games, but came up short
- WKU will be well-traveled in the coming weeks having traveled to Rice, now FIU and then Old Dominion next weekend. The following week the Lady Toppers will head to Frisco, Texas for the Conference USA Championship
- The next two series for WKU have heavy postseason implications. The Lady Toppers are currently in a three-way tie for fourth place in the C-USA East standings with Florida Atlantic and Marshall. The trio is two games behind third place (FIU) and one game ahead of seventh place (Old Dominion). Florida Atlantic hosts Southern Miss (7-9, 5-9 C-USA) this weekend. Marshall travels to North Texas (11-4, 8-2 C-USA). Old Dominion goes to Middle Tennessee (12-5, 10-2 C-USA).
- Elgedawy is WKU's leading scorer, putting up 22.4 points per game. She also leads on the boards, getting 11.0 rebounds a game
- Hope Sivori is the second leading scorer, averaging 10.2 points per game. Fatou Pouye is scoring 10.1 points per game
- Sivori is the team's leading assist earner, averaging 3.7 dimes per game. That average ranks as the fifth best by a WKU freshman since 1977

- WKU and FIU have played 40 times in series history making the Panthers WKU's third most played C-USA opponent
- The Lady Toppers are 31-9 against FIU all-time and have won seven straight in the series
- WKU is 12-6 against FIU in Miami and have the won the last three road contests against the Panthers
- Last season the two teams faced off in Bowling Green and WKU came away with a 71-51 victory. Elgedawy led the Lady Toppers with 21 points and 14 rebounds

- FIU is coming off a split against Southern Miss last week. The Panthers won the first game 59-58 in overtime, but dropped the next game 76-60

- Jiselle Thomas leads FIU, averaging 16.1 points per game. Kyla Nelson is putting up 14.8 points per game and is a 43.2 percent shooter from 3-point range. Emerald Ekpiteta is scoring 11.2 points per game and pulling 9.7 rebounds per game. Fujika Nimmo is also scoring 11.2 points a game
- FIU shoots 34.6 percent from beyond the arc, the second best percentage in the league
