Midweek play from Alumni Coliseum (Paul S. McBrayer Arena) will be available to stream on ESPN+. As is the case for every Hilltopper match this season, all the action will also be available on the radio with Brett Williams on the play-by-play call. The action from Richmond will be available on The Edge 98.3 FM.
WKU leads the all-time series against Eastern Kentucky 9-7 with wins in each of the last four meetings. Most recently, the Red and White claimed a 3-0 sweep in 2019.
EKU is 5-13 on the 2021 campaign after posting a 2-14 record in its spring conference-only slate.

- Wednesday's match will be the 17th all-time meeting between WKU and EKU; a series that WKU leads 9-7.
- WKU is tied for 20th in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll, climbing one spot in the poll for the third-straight week. This follows two weeks at the highest ranking in program history (15) to open the season. The Hilltoppers have now been ranked in 10 of the last 11 seasons and received votes for 12-straight campaigns.
- WKU Volleyball is more accessible than ever with radio broadcasts for every match. The Tops are 1 of just 10 Division I Volleyball programs that currently have live radio for home and away matches.
- WKU has held opponents to an average hitting clip of just .124 this season, which ranks seventh across the NCAA currently. Eastern Kentucky enters the contest with a hitting clip of .169 so far this season.
- This Hilltoppers have won 24 straight sets and have only dropped 5 sets all season, with three coming against Ole Miss: the Tops' lone loss in 2021.
- WKU has been predicted to win the East Division in the Conference USA Preseason Poll voted by the league's coaches. Paige Briggs, Nadia Dieudonne, and Lauren Matthews were all selected to the Preseason All-Conference Team. After meeting in last year's tournament championship Rice was predicted to win the West Division again this season.
- Lauren Matthews leads the team in kills this season with 211. Matthews is currently 14th in all time kills by a Hilltopper with 1,186.
- Wednesday's match will be the squad's ninth contest away from home on the season for WKU, in which the team owns an 8-0 record.
- The Tops have won 37-straight regular season Conference USA contests with their last loss dating back to October of 2018 – the longest streak across all of Division I volleyball.
- The Hilltoppers also own the longest road winning streak in all of NCAA Volleyball with 18-straight wins.
