BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Cross Country will head to Louisville, Ky., on Saturday, Oct. 2 to compete in the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic.
The meet will be held at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park, which will also be the host site for the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships later this season.
The women's squad will open the meet with a 5k beginning at 9:15 a.m. CT, followed by the men's 8k at 9:45 a.m. CT.
The women will face off against 42 other schools in the women's gold race, including two nationally ranked teams in No. 8 Michigan and No. 26 Wisconsin, and three other squads ranked within the top 10 in their respective regions in West Virginia (4th – Mid-Atlantic Region), Middle Tennessee (7th – South Region) and Miami (Ohio) (10th – Great Lakes Region).
The men will compete against 68 other programs in the men's blue race, including conference foe Marshall.
Following the Live in Lou Classic, the Hilltoppers' next meet will be on Saturday, Oct. 16 when they head to Birmingham, Ala., for the Blazer Classic.
