- The Lady Toppers' originally scheduled conference opener against Charlotte was postponed last week due to COVID-19 related concerns within the 49ers' program. With that postponement along with the holiday break, WKU will not have played a game in 16 days when the Lady Toppers take the court in Ruston.
- Through six games, WKU has three averaging double-digit points. Fatou Pouye is the team's leading scorer, putting up 12.0 points per game. Pouye's 60.4 percent shooting clip from the field ranks 20th in the country and third in the conference.
- Ally Collett is behind her with a 10.8 points per game average and Meral Abdelgawad is scoring 10.2 points per game.
- Abdelgawad is the squad's leading rebounder, pulling down 8.7 boards per game. Hope Sivori is WKU's leading assist earner, notching 4.7 helpers per game.
- Since joining C-USA in 2013, the Lady Toppers have won the most conference games of any team in the league racking up 84 wins in six seasons.
Series Notes
- As two of the winningest program in NCAA women's basketball, WKU and Louisiana Tech have a storied history. Currently, the Lady Techsters have the fourth most program wins in the nation with 1,145 and WKU is tied for the 11th most at 1,027.
- Louisiana Tech holds a 26-22 record advantage in the series, but the Lady Toppers have won nine straight games against the Lady Techsters.
- The Lady Toppers haven't lost in Ruston since Nov. 16, 2010, winning three straight on the road against the Lady Techsters.

- Louisiana Tech opened C-USA play on the road at Marshall. The two teams split the pair of games with the Lady Techsters winning the first game 61-51 in overtime. The Thundering Herd defeated LA Tech in the second game, 61-57.
- Keiunna Walker is the leading scorer for the Lady Techsters, averaging 17.0 points per game. Anna Larr Roberson joins her in double figures, averaging 11.3 points per game.
- On the boards, Amber Dixon leads LA tech with a 7.9 rebounds per game average.
