WKU Notes
- The Lady Toppers will be looking to bounce back after splitting games at Louisiana Tech to open Conference USA play last week. WKU won the first game, 61-55, but fell 58-52 on Saturday.
- At LA Tech, WKU had a pair of 20-point performances. Fatou Pouye poured in 21 points along with 13 rebounds in the Lady Toppers' win on Friday. Meral Abdelgawad also notched a double-double in the game with 12 point and 11 rebounds. Hope Sivori led all scorers with 23 points in the Saturday game for a new career high.
- Through eight games, Pouye is WKU's leading scorer, averaging 13.0 points per game. Ally Collett is putting up a 10.8 points average and Abdelgawad is scoring 9.4 points per game.
- Abdelgawad leads WKU on the boards, averaging 9.0 rebounds per game.
- WKU has struggled offensively this season, but is one of the best defensive teams in the conference. The Lady Toppers are holding opponents to 64.2 points per game, the third lowest mark in the league. WKU's defensive 3-point field goal percentage sits at 26.7 which is the fourth best in the conference and 65th in the country.

- WKU and Marshall have met 15 times in series history. The series dates back to 1976 but did not become regular until WKU joined Conference USA in 2014-15.
- The Lady Toppers are 14-1 against the Thundering Herd all-time and have won eight straight games in the series. WKU's last loss against Marshall was on March 10, 2016 in the C-USA Tournament.

- Johnson leads Marshall on the boards, pulling down 9.0 rebounds per game. Mahogany Matthews is averaging 3.3 blocks per game, which leads C-USA.
- The Thundering Herd is averaging 56.0 points per game but is holding teams to 65.8 points which is the sixth lowest in the league.
