FORT MYERS, Fla — WKU sophomore Megan Clarke and junior Mary Joiner each turned in even-par 72s to pace the Lady Toppers in Tuesday's second round of the 2019 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Women's Golf Championship.

Clarke finished Day 2 where she started – tied for eighth – with a 1-under 143 total over 36 holes at the par-72, 6,194-yard Verandah Club. She's tied for second in the field in par-4 scoring at 2 under.

Joiner used the best conference tournament round of her career Tuesday to push into the top 20 in a tie for 18th with a 147 (75-72) tally.

WKU is tied for seventh place as a team heading into the final round at 593 (295-298), one stroke behind UTEP and seven shots out of fifth. Old Dominion leads the standings at 572.

UTSA's Ana Gonzalez is the individual leader with a 136 total.

WKU freshman Lizzie Loy is tied for 31st in her conference tournament debut at 150 (73-77), while juniors Abigail Smee (76-79) and Bailey Tyree (78-77) are both tied for 50th at 155.

The Lady Toppers will tee off at 7:50 a.m. CT in Wednesday's final round.
