BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU Hilltopper Basketball plays its final two Bonus Play games at home, starting against Southern Miss at 2 p.m. CT Sunday at E.A. Diddle Arena. The game will stream on Stadium on Facebook.

The Hilltoppers are in second place in C-USA and coming off a 73-67 comeback victory at UAB on Thursday night.

Southern Miss had won six in a row before an overtime loss to UAB on Feb. 23. WKU leads the all-time series 9-1, including a 66-63 win in Hattiesburg in January. WKU head coach Rick Stansbury is 4-0 all-time in his career against Southern Miss.

• WKU became the fifth program in NCAA history to reach 1,000 straight games with a made 3-pointer at Rice on Feb. 7. The Hilltoppers' streak of 1,005 games dates back to March 15, 1987.
• WKU head coach Rick Stansbury returned Feb. 23 at Old Dominion after missing four games with a back injury that required surgery on Feb. 15. Assistant Marc Hsu served as interim coach.
• WKU is one of the youngest teams in the country, ranking 321st of 353 in experience, per Ken Pomeroy.
• WKU ranks 11th in the country in total blocks and 14th in blocked shots per game, and 19th in percentage of opponents' shots blocked, according to Ken Pomeroy. Its average of 5.0 blocks per game would tie its highest on record. Charles Bassey ranks second in C-USA in blocks per game (2.3).
• Sophomore guard Taveion Hollingsworth needs just 84 points to reach 1,000.
• In the last eight games, redshirt senior guard Lamonte Bearden has 54 combined assists against just 13 turnovers. He leads C-USA in conference play with a 3.3-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
• Sophomore guard Josh Anderson is 1 of 10 players in the country with at least 116 total rebounds, 48 steals and 20 blocks this season. He's the only player from Conference USA to reach those marks.
• WKU center Charles Bassey could become the only freshman in the country since 1992 to average 15 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks per game, while also shooting at least 60 percent from the field.
• As of Friday, Charles Bassey ranked second in the nation among freshmen in total rebounds (290), fourth in total blocks (68) and third in field-goal percentage (62.3 percent).
• As of Friday, Charles Bassey ranked in the top 30 nationally in double-doubles (16th), field-goal percentage (15th), blocks per game (18th), total blocks (16th), rebounds per game (19th), defensive rebounds per game (27th) and total rebounds (12th).
• Charles Bassey's 14 double-doubles this season are the most on record by a Hilltopper freshman. Bassey leads C-USA in double-doubles and ranks second in the nation among freshmen in double-doubles.

Charles Bassey pulled down 17 rebounds for the second straight game, and WKU held on late for a 66-63 victory at Southern Miss. Bassey finished with 14 points and 17 rebounds. Jared Savage added 14 points.
