ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands — WKU Hilltopper Basketball will conclude its play in the Paradise Jam against Fordham at 2:15 p.m. CT Monday in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. The game will air online on the subscription service FloHoops.com.

The Hilltoppers bounced back from their first loss by defeating Illinois State 83-69 on Saturday.
Â
Fordham beat Grand Canyon 70-58 on Saturday to shake off an opening-round loss to Nevada. The Hilltoppers are 3-1 all-time against Fordham and have won three straight in the series. WKU head coach Rick Stansbury has never faced the Rams.

• Saturday's win was the 1,800th in program history. It also secured WKU its best start through six games since the 2007-08 Sweet 16 season.

• Fordham assistant coach Dennis Felton was the head coach at WKU from 1998-2003, amassing a 100-54 record and leading the Hilltoppers to three straight NCAA Tournaments from 2001-03.

• WKU is 9-6 in neutral-site games since the beginning of the 2017-18 season, including 5-3 in regular-season neutral games. The Hilltoppers' wins include victories over ranked West Virginia and Purdue.

Courtney Lee fell one rebound shy of his second career double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds to help lead WKU to an 80-59 non-conference win.

Lee led the Toppers in scoring for the second time this season by hitting 7-of-10 from the floor, including making 3-of-4 from three-point range. The freshman also added three assists, two blocks and a steal in 31 minutes.

Antonio Haynes chipped in with 15 points, Danny Rumph added 12 and Elgrace Wilborn 10 as Western shot 51.7 percent from the field, making 17-of-29 (58.6%) of its attempts after the break – the fourth straight contest that the Hilltoppers have made at least half of their shots from the floor.
