Tops Open Paradise Jam Against Bowling Green on Friday

ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands — WKU Hilltopper Basketball begins play in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam against Bowling Green at 7 p.m. CT Friday in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. The game will air online on the subscription service FloHoops.com.

The Hilltoppers improved to 4-0 on Monday with a 109-66 home rout of NAIA program Campbellsville.

Bowling Green is the preseason MAC favorite and took its lone loss so far this season at 22nd-ranked LSU. WKU is 23-10 all-time against the Falcons, including 6-0 at neutral sites. The teams have not played since 2014. Head coach Rick Stansbury has never faced Bowling Green.

LAST GAME AGAINST BOWLING GREEN: DECEMBER 3, 2014

T.J. Price had 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists to lead WKU to a 62-52 win over Bowling Green, handing the Falcons their first loss of the season.

George Fant tallied 14 points, six rebounds and four blocks and Ben Lawson added 12 points and seven rebounds for WKU.

Spencer Parker led Bowling Green with 14 points, hitting 4 of 8 from 3-point range, and Anthony Henderson added 11 points.

The Falcons made just 19 of 55 (34.5 percent) field goals, including 6 of 21 (28.6 percent) from behind the arc.
