WKU Match Notes
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Entering the weekend with a 15-1 record, WKU Volleyball will look to add to its 11-match win streak as the squad hosts two more conference opponents in Middle Tennessee and Marshall this weekend. The Lady Toppers are now 9-0 in Diddle Arena and lead the nation with 11 sweeps. WKU continues to receive votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll, jumping three spots to No. 28, while also holding the second-best winning percentage in the country, behind No.1 Baylor, the lone unbeaten team.

WKU's 15-1 record is the fourth-best start in program history, behind an 18-1 opening in 2005, a 17-1 start in 2011, and a 16-1 reading in 2004. The Tops look to continue to add to this historic record with two more conference matches this weekend.

First serve for Friday night's rivalry match against MTSU goes up at 6 p.m. CT and will be live-streamed on Facebook via HSSN.

The Blue Raiders sit at 6-9 on the season and 0-2 in C-USA play. The Tops outlasted the Blue Raiders both times during the 2018 campaign winning 3-0, and 3-1, respectively. WKU leads the all-time series with a record of 47-16. The Tops are running on a 12-match win streak over Middle Tennessee and look to continue that on Friday.Â
An 11-4 Marshall team comes to The Hill on Sunday to face-off against the Lady Tops at noon CT. The Thundering Herd sits at 2-0 in C-USA standings with wins against Southern Miss. and FIU. WKU holds a 12-2 record when going head-to-head against Marshall and looks to continue its win streak of eight matches. Last season, the Red and White took home a road win against Marshall, 3-1.

WKU has claimed eight Conference USA Player of the Week awards over the five weeks of distribution. Junior transfer setter, Nadia Dieudonne has collected three, freshman outside hitter, Paige Briggs owns three, sophomore middle hitter, Lauren Matthews was awarded one, and senior right-side hitter, Sophia Cerino has also earned one.Â

As WKU concludes its long home stretch, the squad will be on the road for seven of the next nine matches.Â
