Opening statement:
"Big game coming up this week against Marshall, very excited for this opportunity. We're getting down this stretch later in the season where we're playing some really good football teams. You talk about if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best and Marshall's kind of been the standard in the league for a long time, and a great history there. Doc Holliday does a great job with his team. Should be a very challenging game, but a game we're very excited to play and looking forward to the opportunity."
On having the opportunity to become bowl-eligible:
"It's always in the back of your mind but it's not something I talk about with the team or anything, it's just a one game at a time mentality. I want to be more than just bowl-eligible, that's a goal, but let's go win a conference championship, that's the name of the game. Then everything else falls into place, it happens naturally. Would I be very happy to be bowl eligible? There's no question about it. But I just want to go and play Marshall, get a win at Marshall and then keep on going."
On last year's 20-17 loss vs. Marshall as motivation:
"I don't talk about it but it's always in the back of their mind, it's something you don't have to bring up. Every game has its new challenges. Their running back, Knox, is a really good player. We'll have to do our best to contain him and he breaks a lot of tackles. They're always big and physical on the offensive line, they have two tight ends who are very talented, the quarterback can kind of do it all. So, our guys' focus more on that aspect of it than what happened last year. We'll have our hands full as it is just going up to Marshall and going to get the win."
On Lucky's Jackson's breakout game vs. Charlotte:
"It was great to see, with him being a senior and a leader of our team. Hit the flea-flicker to him and then come back with a long throw down the sidelines and he breaks a couple of tackles, and then we did the reverse pass with him. He's just such a backbone of this team, such a great leader and competitor. I'd like to do it again, hopefully we can get it to him this week."
