BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Season ticket holders and fans of the WKU women's basketball program are encouraged to attend the annual Lady Topper Tip-Off Dinner on Monday, Oct. 29, at the National Corvette Museum Conference Center.
Attendance for the event is $20 for adults and $10 for those under 18 and all attendees are asked to pay in advance. Those interested in attending should RSVP to Peggy Jones in the women's basketball office by phone at (270) 745-2133 or by e-mail at peggy.jones@wku.edu.
The dinner is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and the event will also feature door prizes, giveaways and pumpkin carving for kids.
The Lady Toppers, who claimed their fourth conference tournament title in six seasons in 2017-18, are in the midst of one of the most successful eras in program history. WKU has won 154 games over the last six seasons and will be led by first-year head coach Greg Collins, who takes the reins of the program after spending the previous six seasons as an assistant and associate head coach for the Lady Toppers.
The 2018-19 season will see WKU matched up against challenging opponents, including a Nov. 6 season-opening home date against 2018 Final Four participant Louisville inside E.A. Diddle Arena. The Lady Toppers will also battle Power 5 opponents Oklahoma (Nov. 9 in Norman, Okla.), Iowa (Nov. 13 in Bowling Green), Oregon State (Nov. 22 in Vancouver, Canada) and Notre Dame (Dec. 19 in South Bend, Ind.).
