WKU NOTES
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With two weekends of the 2017 season already in the books, WKU Volleyball (5-2) is headed for its first midweek road match of the year as the Lady Toppers are headed for Belmont. The Tuesday night matchup has the first serve slated for 6 p.m. CT from Nashville and will be streamed on the OVC Digital Network.

Belmont is coming off of a 16-12 2016 campaign and is 5-2 on the young 2017 season. The Lady Toppers own an 18-0 advantage in the all-time series. In the most recent gathering between the sides, WKU booked a 3-0 sweep in last season's Diddle Arena opener over the Bruins.
WKU enters the mid-week matchup with a .314 collective hitting percentage and four front-row attackers hitting .300 or better. The Lady Toppers are averaging 14.26 kills per set on the young season while allowing just 11.09. Defensively, four Lady Toppers have registered 35 or more digs already.
The Red and White have already racked up 27 service aces on the season and have five players with four or more after two weeks of play.
Belmont returns all six starters from last season's squad. The Tigers also return nine of 12 letterwinners from a year ago.
Following the match at Belmont, WKU returns home to host the Holiday Inn University Plaza Invitational on Friday and Saturday. East Tennessee State, Pittsburgh and Saint Louis will all play in Bowling Green this weekend.

Season ticket holders will receive 12 general admission tickets with the Flexible Ticket Package that can be used to attend the home games of his or her choice. This plan allows the flexibility to choose which volleyball games the buyer wants to attend and the number of tickets used for each game. Season ticket holders also gain exclusive access to pre-game chalk talks with Hudson, who enters his 23rd season at the helm of WKU volleyball.
