BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- WKU's Justin Johnson scored a career-high 26 points with 14 rebounds, and Que Johnson knocked down six 3-pointers as the Hilltoppers led from start to finish in a 76-64 victory over UAB on Sunday at E.A. Diddle Arena.
Justin Johnson made 12 of 17 shots for WKU (13-14, 7-7 C-USA) -- setting a new career high for made field goals -- and notched his sixth double-double in his last seven outings. It was his seventh straight game with double-digit rebounds.
Que Johnson sank 6 of 8 tries from 3-point range, including all five in the first half, and finished with 22 points. He made 8 of 12 shots overall.
WKU built a 14-point halftime lead on UAB (15-13, 8-7) and ultimately led by 17 in the final minutes. It was the Hilltoppers' fifth straight win over the Blazers in Bowling Green.
Junior Lomomba added 10 points and four assists for the Tops, while Pancake Thomas chipped in nine points, six rebounds and five assists.
The Hilltoppers shot 50 percent from the field and outscored UAB 40-18 in the paint, getting revenge for UAB's 44-18 edge in the paint in last month's 72-54 win by the Blazers in Birmingham, Ala.
William Lee led UAB with 18 points.
