BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Hosting the school's first conference championship since joining Conference USA, the WKU women's cross country team raced out to a third-place finish at the C-USA Cross Country Championship, with one male and three Lady Toppers garnering all-conference honors.

Lindsey Hinken was the top WKU runner on the day as she placed fourth individually (17:43.6) to be named the Outstanding Senior of the Meet. Katie Lever joined Hinken in the Top 10 as she claimed ninth (17:57.2) to earn All-C-USA second team recognition. Endalow Takele was the top men's runner for WKU, also drawing second team honors with a career-best time of 25:19.6.
For the Lady Toppers, the three all-conference honorees were the most in a single season since 2011 and the third-place finish was the best since 2013. WKU beat three teams ranked in their respective USTFCCCA Regional Rankings in Southern Miss (9), North Texas (10) and UTSA (12).
Taylor Carlin rounded out the All-C-USA members for WKU as she crossed the line at 18:19.7 to earn 14th. Freshman Aleja Grant grabbed her best placement of the year by finishing 30th, with Baylee Shofner completing the Lady Toppers lineup in 39th.
On the men's side, Aaron Stevens (25:52.4) notched his third Top 30 time of the year to secure 27th. Freshman Julien Cuyeu (26:54.7) was the No. 3 Hilltopper by placing 57th, his best finish since coming to The Hill. Completing the scoring for WKU was Mark Stice (29:46.1) and Sam Porter (30:44.2), with the Hilltoppers finishing ninth.
WKU cross country will return to action on Nov. 13 for the NCAA Southeast Regional in Charlottesville, Virginia, at Panorama Farms.
