BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - On the first day of the spring semester, the WKU Hilltopper Football program has added five new student-athletes by way of transfer or early graduation, including three from UAB and two Kentucky high school all-star football products.
Defensive tackle Jontavious Morris (Albany, Ga.), defensive back Greg Maclin (Tanner, Ala.), and linebacker T.J. McCollum (Birmingham, Ala.) all come to The Hill by way of a transfer from UAB. Morris will have one season of eligibility remaining, while Maclin and McCollum have two and three, respectively. A pair of Kentucky All-State players have also joined the team early in offensive lineman Cullen Reynolds (Madisonville, Ky.) and running back Marquez Trigg (Glasgow, Ky.).
All five will have immediate eligibility and join junior college signee Sidney Hammond, who was announced in December, to go through spring workouts with the Hilltoppers. R.J. Scaife (Dade City, Fla.), a 2014 high school signee, was grayshirted and has also now enrolled at WKU in the spring.
