BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - WKU Football announced kickoff times and promotions for its complete 2014 home schedule on Tuesday, a slate that features non-conference contests against Bowling Green State and Army along with four Conference USA games at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
WKU kicks off its season-opener versus Bowling Green State at 6:30 p.m. (CT) on Aug. 29 and will host UAB at 6 p.m. on Oct. 4, Old Dominion at 3 p.m. on Oct. 25, UTEP at 3 p.m. on Nov. 8, Army at 11 a.m. on Nov. 15 and UTSA at 1 p.m. on Nov. 22.
The Hilltoppers begin their 2014 campaign by hosting the defending Mid-American Conference Champions, Bowling Green State, at Houchens-Smith Stadium on Aug. 29. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. (CT) on CBS Sports Network. The season opener will be the "Live United White Out Game" as the first 6,000 fans will receive a free Live United White Out t-shirt.
WKU will play its first home Conference USA game against UAB on Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will get a free C-USA Inaugural t-shirt. The Hilltoppers welcome Old Dominion to The Hill on Oct. 25 for a "Black Out" game and will kick off at 3 p.m. The first 1,000 fans at the game will receive free WKU eye black.
WKU plays its homecoming game against UTEP on Nov. 8 and the conference bout is slated for a 3 p.m. start. Fans are encouraged to wear red as a part of the "Red Out" and the first 1,000 fans will receive free WKU foam fingers. CBS Sports Network will broadcast WKU's Nov. 15 Military Appreciation Day contest versus Army at 11 a.m. All military personnel and veterans can receive unlimited $15 tickets to the WKU- Army game with a valid military ID.
The Hilltoppers' home finale against UTSA will start at 1 p.m. on a Fox network to be determined. WKU's duel against the Roadrunners will be Senior Day as the 17 Hilltopper seniors playing their final game at Houchens-Smith Stadium will be recognized during a pregame presentation.
Hilltopper Football season tickets for 2014 are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 1-800-5BIGRED or by visiting WKUSports.com. Single-game tickets can be purchased beginning on Aug. 1.
