OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - WKU rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to beat Ole Miss 81-74 on Saturday at Tad Smith Coliseum.
The Hilltoppers (4-4) used a 30-9 run in the second half to build a 69-63 lead.
Ole Miss (6-3) pulled to within 69-66 with two minutes left on LaDarius White's free throw, but T.J. Price's jumper with 1:17 left extended the Hilltoppers' lead to two possessions. WKU made all 10 of its free throws in the final minutes to clinch the win.
Ole Miss got a steal and layup from Martavious Newby with 15:37 left to build a 54-38 lead. From there, WKU chipped away quickly. Price connected on a pair of free throws - the Hilltoppers were 15 for 15 on free throws in the second half - to start the comeback.
Price's jumper with 8:20 left gave WKU a 58-57 lead, one that was erased 14 seconds later on Stefan Moody's 3-pointer. Price and Moody traded 3-pointers on the next two possessions before Trency Jackson's 3-pointer with 6:26 left gave WKU a 64-63 lead, one the Hilltoppers never relinquished.
Price scored 26 points, including four 3-pointers, to pace WKU. He also added 10 rebounds and five assists.
George Fant added 17 points while Chris Harrison-Docks had 12 for the Hilltoppers.
Ole Miss was led by Moody's 25 points. Moody made four 3-pointers in the first half to spur a 27-9 run that gave the Rebels a lead that reached 17 points.
White added 15 points off the bench for the Rebels, who lost for the third time in Oxford already this season. The other losses were against TCU and Charleston Southern.
All-SEC point guard Jarvis Summers scored just eight points on 2-of-14 shooting in 30 minutes Saturday. Summers entered Saturday's game averaging 12.1 points per game.
Ole Miss shot 52.9 percent in the first half but made just 8 of 33 shots (24.2 percent) from the floor in the final 20 minutes.
The Hilltoppers were outrebounded in the first half 24-15 but rallied to catch the Rebels 40-40 by the end of the game.
WKU shot 51.9 percent from the floor - including 6 of 12 from the 3-point line - in the second half.
WKU hosts Chicago State on Wednesday.
