BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Randy Lee, the "Voice of the Hilltoppers" for the past five seasons, was named the Sun Belt Conference Broadcaster of the Year for 2012 and threw out a ceremonial first pitch before WKU's Sun Belt Conference Tournament game against ULM Saturday night at Bowling Green Ballpark.
Lee handles radio play-by-play duties for WKU football, men's basketball and baseball, and he also serves as the host for both the football and men’s basketball weekly radio coach’s shows and the football television coach’s show.
Over the course of the three sport seasons during the 2011-12 school year, Lee has been on the call for more than 80 games between football, basketball and baseball – including a pair of NCAA Tournament games in March.
In addition to his radio duties during basketball season, Lee’s call is also heard as part of the Hilltoppers Sports Satellite Network television simulcast of nearly all WKU regular-season games.
