BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Western Kentucky University baseball team has returned to Nick Denes Field to prepare for the 2011 season and quest for a return to the NCAA Tournament.
The first week of fall practice is coming to a close for the Hilltoppers, who hope to improve on their 35-23 record from a year ago. The squad has begun the instruction period of practice and will move into intersquad games on Friday.
The Hilltoppers will participate in 10 intersquad games throughout the month of October. All games will take place at Nick Denes Field. The full schedule is below.
The practice plan will be adapted during team practices before the Hilltoppers play the Fall World Series to conclude the fall practice season. The World Series is slated to run Nov. 1-5, with each game scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
All game times are scheduled to change due to weather conditions.
