| The initial phase of the renovation to the Hilltoppers' football stadium, which began following the 2006 football season, involved improving the existing structure. In addition to power washing the entire stadium, construction workers also replaced concrete on the concourse level in order to waterproof the deck and the upper deck was painted. Other improvements included improved locker rooms for men's and women's soccer, and men's and women's track, as well as developing office space and classrooms for the physical education department. Following the completion of the 2006 season, $2.5 million was spent in developing a new Charles M. Ruter track and field complex. The final phase of the project involved the construction of the West grandstand, which includes over 5,000 seats along with new and improved concessions and restrooms - the building also houses new locker rooms along with a new weight room and training room, each measuring over 10,000 square feet - the South end zone was also developed creating a unique seating area on the "berm."
