Reigning Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year Crystal Kelly led the Lady Toppers with 21 points, while Tiffany Porter-Talbert added 14 — her fourth straight double-digit scoring effort. WKU posted its highest scoring total of the tour, and scored over 80 points for the third straight contest. The 34-point victory was also the largest margin the Lady Toppers have enjoyed in the four games.
“It has been tough playing four games in four days, especially considering the physical play we have gone up against,” said Lady Topper head coach Mary Taylor Cowles. “Again, I am most pleased with the mental focus and approach that our young ladies are bringing to these games. They have truly come into these games wanting to win, and have made a statement in these first four games.”
WKU will take a day off tomorrow, making an eight-hour bus ride to Nice, France. The Lady Toppers will look to complete an undefeated trip Wednesday night against Roquebrune.
