Bowling Green, Ky. - Freshman Karina Ledaja extended her undefeated streak this past weekend, but was unable to prevent the Western Kentucky women's tennis team from falling to Evansville, 4-3. The Lady Toppers (3-4) captured the doubles' point on Saturday after receiving doubles victories from senior Liene Rozentale and junior Olga Kosaka at No. 2, and sophomore Emily Lichtenberg and senior Jennifer Granger at No. 3.
Ledaja upped her spring record to 6-0 at No. 1-singles by knocking off the Purple Aces' Rachel Tessier, 6-2, 6-0. Lichtenberg also chipped in a singles win at No. 6, defeating Charly Kraft, 6-0, 6-0.
The Lady Toppers return to action next weekend in a pair of road matches with Austin Peay and IUPUI.
