Bowling Green, Ky. - The Big Red Radio Network, the official network of Western Kentucky University athletics, announced today that WXRA-AM (1580) in Lexington has joined and will be part of the men's basketball broadcasts.
"We are extremely proud to be adding the Lexington market to the network," said Derron Steenbergen, executive producer of the network. "This plugs a hole of the state that we had been unable to penetrate. The ability to get the Western mens basketball broadcasts into the city of Lexington greatly enhances our overall footprint. Brad Hogan has been instrumental in helping to get Big Red Radio into that market."

"The success of the programs, the progressive spirit of Dr. Selig and his staff and a lot of hard work by many people has allowed the network to grow to now 19 stations," added Steenbergen. "We are very proud of this accomplishment. The Big Red Radio Network continues to be committed to providing the great fans of Western Kentucky the best radio network in the state of Kentucky."
