Taylor Hunt joined the WKU Softball staff as the Director of Operations/Assistant Coach in the summer of 2026.
Hunt oversees the day-to-day logistics of the program, including team travel, scheduling, budgeting and operational planning. She will also work with the defense and catchers.
Hunt returns to The Hill after spending the last year as an assistant coach at South Warren High School. During the 2026 season, Hunt helped the Spartans to a 2026 KHSSA state championship and coached incoming freshman Layla Ogden, who was named the Class 3A Player of the Year.
Prior to her time with the Spartans, Hunt spent three years as the head coach at Greenwood High School from 2020-2022.
Hunt previously worked at WKU as an Assistant Director of Athletics Facilities. In her role, she oversaw game management for volleyball and softball, assisted with football and men's basketball, oversaw the soccer/softball indoor facility, and served as a liaison with parking and transportation for football and men's basketball athletic events.
She was a softball letterwinner at WKU during the 2016-17 seasons and received the 2016 Conference USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal while being named a CUSA Commissioner’s Honor Roll honoree.
Hunt graduated from WKU in 2017 with a degree in Physical & Health Education and again from WKU in 2019 with a master's degree in Teacher Leadership.
Hunt is a native of Bowling Green.
