Mason Thornhill was named a graduate assistant with the WKU women's basketball team in the summer of 2026. He comes to The Hill after playing basketball collegiately at Welch College (2023-26) and Campbellsville University (2022-23).
Thornhill started in every game as a senior at Welch and shot 45 percent from the field and 43 percent from 3-point range. While at Welch, Thornhill served as student body president and was involved with Young Life in Sumner County.
Thornhill has coached with the Nashville Stars (AAU) and served as an assistant with Greenwood High School.
Thornhill earned a bachelor's in exercise science from Welch College and is working on a master's in organizational leadership at WKU.
