Josh Vortherms joined the the WKU staff in the summer of 2023 to serve as the athletic trainer for the Hilltopper softball team.
While obtaining his Master's degree at New Mexico State University, Vortherms also served as the Graduate Assistant athletic Trainer for the NMSU softball and cheer teams. After the 2022 school year, he was promoted to full-time assistant, working with the NMSU softball and swim teams.
The Sioux Falls, South Dakota native graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2020 with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training.
