Dixie Mahurin has been a member of the WKU staff for over 30 years and serves as an Academic Coordinator for WKU Athletics.
In this role, Mahurin works to help coordinate the daily functions of the Student Athlete Success Center (SASC) as well as assisting with student mentoring, budgeting, checking NCAA eligibility, etc.
Prior to joining WKU, Mahurin was the director of guidance for Christian County High School.
A graduate of WKU, Mahurin earned three degrees in her time on The Hill, one in mathematics, one in chemistry and one in education. She attended graduate school at the University of Louisville where she earned two master’s degrees, one in guidance and counseling and another in psychometry.
Mahurin is married to her husband, Peter and they currently reside in Bowling Green.
