Senior (2020-21): Named to the C-USA All-Conference First Team for the second straight season…Named to the Katrina McClain Award and Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year preseason watch lists before the season…Played in 16 games, starting in 15…Scored in double figures in all 16 games…Had 11 double-doubles on the season which was the second most in C-USA and 35th nationally…Eclipsed the 1,000 career rebound mark in 2020-21, ending the season with 1,005 total in 112 games on The Hill putting her fifth in the WKU record book…After her first game back, Elgedawy rattled off five straight 20 point games becoming the first Lady Topper since Tashia Brown to do so…Ended the season on a 30-game streak of double digit scoring dating back to the 2019-20 season…Her 20.9 points per game in C-USA play was the fourth highest average in the league in 2020-21 and her 12.1 rebounds per game were second…She led WKU in scoring, rebounding and in blocks on the season…Named C-USA Player of the Week on Feb. 1 after two monster games against Charlotte…In the first game against the 49ers, Elgedawy recorded only the fourth 20 point, 20 rebound game by a Lady Topper in program history with 26 points and 20 rebounds along with a career high five assists…In the second game Elgedawy scored 20 points and pulled down 13 rebounds while also hitting the go-ahead 3-pointer for WKU that would prove to be the game-winner…Notched a new career high in WKU’s overtime loss against Old Dominion in the C-USA Tournament with 31 points to go with 15 rebounds.
Junior (2019-20): Earned Conference USA First Team honors…Named C-USA Player of the Week twice during the season (12/2 and 2/3)…Had 17 double-doubles in 2019-20, which is tied for the sixth most by a Lady Topper in a single season and was the 13th most nationally…Her 28 career double-doubles at the end of 2019-20 is tied for the seventh most in program history…Was the third leading scorer in the league, averaging 17.6 points per game…Averaged a double-double with 11.0 rebounds per game, the second highest rate in the conference…That marks is also the fourth highest rebounds per game in a season in school history…Her 200 made field goals led C-USA and was 42nd in the NCAA…Had the second best field goal percentage of all C-USA players, shooting 50.3 pecent…Became the 41st Lady Topper in the 1,000 Point Club and ended the season with 1,346 career points which ranks as the 23rd most in program history…Played in every game and started in all but Senior Day…Was WKU’s leading rebounder in all but one game and was the leading scorer for the Lady Toppers in 13 games…Had double digits in all but two games and had 20-or-more points in 10 games…Burst on the 2019-20 scene with a 18-point and 19-rebound performance in WKU’s second game of the season at Mercer…Had her first 20-point performance against Little Rock with 22 points and 10 reobounds…Put up 23 points in a win against Oklahoma along with nine boards…Her third 20-point performance came at Samford with 23 points and eight rebounds…Filled the stat sheet at Purdue with 15 points, 10 rebounds and five steals…Topped her steals mark with six takeaways at North Texas along with 23 points and nine rebounds…Poured in 28 points along with 18 rebounds against Florida Atlantic…Had a season-high 29 points against Charlotte along with 16 rebounds...Earned Dean's List honors in the spring semester.
Sophomore (2018-19): Started all 35 games for the Lady Toppers and was named Second Team All-C-USA following the season… Finished the season with six double-double performances… Named C-USA Player of the Week and earned a spot in the NCAA Weekly Starting Five one time following performances at FIU and Florida Atlantic… Became just the second Lady Topper in program history to record multiple career 20-rebound games, matching her career high with 21 boards at Little Rock… Finished with seven 20-point games, including a career-best 28-point outing at FIU… Keyed WKU’s double-digit comeback victory at UTEP with 27 points and 10 rebounds… Came up big for WKU in the postseason, recording two of her six double-doubles in postseason play… Had 20 points and 15 rebounds in the C-USA Quarterfinals against Old Dominion before notching 17 points and 13 rebounds in the WNIT first round at Miami (Ohio)… Competed for the Egyptian national team in the 2019 Afrobasket competition following the season, leading the Egyptians to a seventh-place finish.
Freshman (2017-18): Turned in one of the strongest freshman campaigns in recent memory on The Hill, becoming WKU’s first player to capture C-USA Freshman of the Year honors… Named C-USA Freshman of the Week four times while becoming the first WKU player to be honored as the USBWA National Freshman of the Week… Averaged nine points and 7.1 rebounds with 42 total blocks and 30 steals during her freshman season… Became the first WKU freshman to record five double-doubles since Crystal Kelly in 2004-05… Shattered the WKU freshman record and set the C-USA freshman record with 23 rebounds in a single game against FIU (Jan. 11)… Tallied her five double-doubles against Evansville (Nov. 30), Stetson (Dec. 16), FIU (Jan. 11), UTSA (Jan. 18) and Marshall (Feb. 17)… Scored a season-best 19 points two times, against Evansville and against UTSA in the C-USA Quarterfinals (March 8)… Started all 33 games and played an average of 24.5 minutes per contest.
Prior to WKU: An Egyptian national from Alexandria, Egypt, who has represented her nation in several international competitions, competing in the FIBA World Championships, the 2015 Afrobasket Championships and the qualifying rounds of the 2017 Afrobasket Championships... In eight games at the 2015 Afrobasket Championships, nearly averaged a double-double with 11.9 points and 8.1 rebounds... Her best performance in the event came on Sept. 25 when she totaled 19 points, 17 rebounds and a pair of blocks in an 81-73 victory over Guinea... Reached double figures in four games and pulled down double-digit rebounds in three outings during the tournament that saw Egypt finish in eighth place overall... At the U-19 World Championships, averaged 18 points and 8.9 rebounds across seven contests, including three double-doubles against Spain, the United States and Taiwan... Team's leading scorer and rebounder against the United States (14 points, 10 rebounds) and tallied her tournament-high mark of 26 points against Spain... Had been slated to compete at the 2017 Afrobasket Championships with the senior Egyptian national team under Head Coach Amr Ashour... In the qualifying stages of the event, helped to lead Egypt to a perfect 4-0 record in March, averaging 10 points and nine rebounds while playing just under 23 minutes per game... In her best performance of the event, she tallied a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards in an 81-76 victory over Kenya on March 17... Across the four games, the Egyptian national was also 16-of-29 (.552) from the floor and was the qualifying round’s second-leading rebounder among all players.
