Mike Featherston is in his first season as a graduate assistant with the WKU Hilltopper Basketball staff for the 2022-23 season.
Featherston’s duties including assisting with the day-to-day operations of the program, assisting with all practices, workouts and games, and helping with film study.
Featherston played at Milligan University for four years and was a consistent starter for three of those years. He was the Defensive Player of the Year and a two-year captain. He led the conference in blocks, marking the single-game block record at Milligan with seven. He also was on the NAIA National Tournament Milligan team in 2017-18.
Featherston coached at Milligan for two seasons as the head JV coach and head assistant. In his time as a coach, he developed four all-conference players.
Featherston earned his bachelor’s degree from Milligan in accounting with a minor in Humanities. He is currently working towards his master’s degree in Recreation and Sport Administration with a concentration in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration.
Featherston originally hails from Greensboro, North Carolina. He resides in Bowling Green.
